    The Pro-Am took on a different format this year. The Am's asked for more fleet racing in the IC24s instead of match racing and team racing...they got it...16 races in all with no discards. In the final analysis Ken Read did enough to hold off Team Homberg and Team Baird.

Is this the shape of the future?

Here is a picture of Chris Rosenberg sailing his IC24 with an experimental assymetric kite and short bowsprit. The new set up is being put out there as 'the way to go', no more problems finding skilled bow crew. The St.Thomas Yacht Club has invited any interested BVI and P.Rican IC24 sailors to come and give it a go later this month.Assym_resize

An Interview With Rod Johnstone - Video

Rod_johnstone Richard Wooldridge, Racing In Paradise's chief slicer and dicer, speaks to Rod Johnstone, designer of the J/24, about his views on the IC/24 - the sliced and diced version of his brainchild.  Rod was taking a break from The Bitter End Yacht Club's ProAm in November 2006 where he was competing with the likes of Russell Coutts and Paul Cayard.  Racing In Paradise's fleet of IC/24s had been chartered for the event.
